Karus is ideal for the fun loving, no fear tour buddies or individuals who desire to experience true South African day-to-day living in the city by being among its people who are a diverse group. We are located in the heart of a very safe residential neighborhood where you will meet the people of South Africa and experience Southern African living without limits! The Lodge is conveniently located 20 minutes from Johannesburg and approximately 15 minutes from Pretoria. You can reach us easily via Johannesburg Metro Rail and then walking to the Lodge from the Train Station. We specialize in 'togetherness' therefore we guarantee you that you will feel at home with us. If you want to experience AFRICA and hook up with people from around the Globe, Karus is it!
Here is How We Do It:
At the end of your busy day, arrive at the Lodge for a home cooked meal, South African way. Our 'SA Intro Meal' is made of chicken or beef stew on rice or pap(maize meal), appetized by samoosas, meat pies or sausages.... In the morning, help yourself to a cup of freshly brewed South African Rooibos tea on demand at your own time, any time; don't rush out of bed to catch breakfast on time. Want to cook your own stuff? The guest kitchen is available anytime for the culinary artist at heart.
Want to swim? The pool is sparkling clean around our garden setting surrounded by mature trees.
Want to Tour Johannesburg? We have two midi-buses to take you anywhere you wish (minimum 3-5 people).

DIRECTIONS
Easiest Way if you are not driving:
TAKE THE METRO...
From Johannesburg city center, hop on the METRO RAIL/TRAIN at Park Station or nearest station from where you are. Get off at the OLIFANTSFONTEIN METRO Train Station. There is a small shopping center at this stop. Walk through the shopping center to Ann Street. Make a left on Ann. You will find the Lodge at # 79 Ann Street or Road on your right.
Note: The Karus Lodge is a walking distance to METRO Train Station. The train continues to Pretoria and runs through out the day between Pretoria and Johannesburg City Center.
By Car/Taxi:
From Johannesburg airport, take the R21 Freeway towards Pretoria. Exit on Olifantsfontein. Turn Right at the robots at (M57) then first Left on Impala. Make a right to Ann Street.
From N1 towards Pretoria:
Exit from N1 on Olinfantsfontein, Turn Right on Olifantsfontein. Go straight on Olifantsfontein to T-Junction. Right at T-Junction. Olifantsfontein Continues. After Phulani Mall, pass two stop lights (robots). Left on Highway M57
Immediate First Left at the First Housing Estates is Impala. Follow the main road (Impala) to Ann Street.
